As our Data Engineer Risk Analytics, you will work with risk data but in close co-operation with Data Management and all our different markets to understand and prepare data for predictive analytics.

Ikano Bank AB is strengthening its Risk Analytics team with a Data Engineer. You will join a team of highly motivated and experienced colleagues responsible for all sorts of predictive modelling. You will have a key role in aiding the Risk and Credit Risk functions in their journey to become more data-driven, enabling them to generate the insights needed to provide financial services to the many people on fair terms.

In your assignments as Data Engineer, you will be working closely with several departments across the bank, with a specific focus on Finance, Risk, credit portfolio analysis and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up risk data deliveries from multiple on-prem systems and markets into a centralized cloud data platform to support predictive modelling
  • Design, build, and integrate risk data through data pipelines on the bank’s new AWS-based Enterprise Data Platform
  • Establish robust and automated controls of incoming data to ensure data integrity and data quality
  • Collaborate closely with the Central Data Delivery function to ensure alignment of architecture principles and technologies as well as adherence to Ikano development processes and standards
  • Create and maintain data mart models in AWS RedShift specific to the Risk and Credit Risk functions
  • Provide data support for developers and analysts within the Risk and Credit Risk functions, as well as other stakeholders

To be successful from start it is an advantage to have experience in AWS technologies and ETL processes.

As a Data Engineer, you will participate in setting up a data-driven risk environment. You will work close with team members to secure data from on-prem systems into a modern cloud-based data platform enabling predictive modelling.

You will work with and be supported by the team in understanding and interpret data from a risk perspective.

Experience and skills:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar related field/degree.
  • Knowledge of Python/Pyspark and SQL (to further strengthen the competence in the bank for a future proof setup)
  • Knowledge of AWS technologies and ETL processes (to improve and optimize this platform)
  • Understanding of data modelling for data warehouses and predictive modelling (to secure data warehouse is created to support predictive modelling)
  • Understanding of data quality and integrity concepts (to develop a trustful, user-friendly data warehouse)
  • Knowledge of data architecture and data management best practices.
  • Experience from banking or insurance.
  • A background in DataOps or AIOps.

Help us simplify finance for the many people

 

The 2nd line Compliance Function is a vital independent function. The function’s role is to, with a risk-based approach, identify compliance gaps, recommend actions and support the Bank by giving advice and support. Play an active role in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Bank’s compliance framework.

You will be based in Sweden, but your work arena will be all Ikano Bank’s branches, from your location preferably in Malmö.

 

Main tasks as Compliance Officer:

  • Identify, analyze and interpret and produce documentation on new external regulations that are relevant for the Bank’s licensed operation.
  • Independently assess compliance risks and thus contributing to the Compliance Function's overall risk assessment.
  • Perform monitoring and controls to secure the Bank’s adherence to external. Examples of areas are Consumer Finance related regulations such as payment regulations, Conduct risk and Internal Governance.
  • Produce reports based on the monitoring and control including recommendations based on the observations.
  • Provide advice, support and training on external requirements applicable to the Bank's licensed operations and ensure that governing documents within relevant areas are kept up to date.
  • Inform and train co-workers on new or changed external requirements and relevant internal regulations
  • Represent the Compliance Function on relevant meetings and committees.
  • Regular written reporting to relevant stakeholders, including input to CEO and Board reporting.
  • Represent the Compliance Function on relevant meetings and committees.
  • Actively support the business in their work with compliance risk management and promote a strong Compliance culture
  • For this specific recruitment we are looking for someone who among other things will take the main responsibility for managing our Regulatory Change Process in the bank meaning identifying and overseeing implementation of new regulations.
  • We are looking for a Compliance officer with a broad banking knowledge of regulations connected to our licensed operation. The areas AML and GDPR are already well covered in our team and your future colleagues through our DPO and CFA.

  • You are fluent in English and either Swedish, Danish or Norwegian.
  • You have an excellent ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels in the organization.
  • You have high integrity and are familiar with the 2nd line requirements.
  • You like to work independently, and you are proactive with an attitude to inspire and motivate people. It is essential that you are flexible end enjoy shifting between countries / areas / tasks.
